Swedish Institute SI Scholarship For Global Professionals

The SI Scholarship for Global Professionals is an academic scholarship provided for full-time, one- or two-year master’s studies at several universities in Sweden.

The SI Global Executive Program was created to nurture forward-thinking business executives seeking to shape a future that is not only economically resilient but socially and ecologically sustainable.

It stands as a testament to Sweden’s excellence in pioneering sustainable solutions and serves as a conduit for sharing the country’s rich legacy of sustainable business practices with the rest of the world.

To be considered for the Swedish Institute SI Scholarship for Global Professionals, you must:

• Be a citizen and resident of one of our programme countries:

  Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Belarus, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Egypt, Ethiopia, Georgia, Guatemala, Indonesia, Iraq, Jordan, Kenya, Liberia, Malaysia, Mexico, Moldova, Morocco, Nigeria, Peru, Philippines, Rwanda, Senegal, South Africa, Tanzania, Thailand, Uganda, Ukraine, Vietnam, Zambia

  *Ukrainian applicants who reside outside of Ukraine are eligible to apply. 

• Have a leadership position, such as CEO or senior executive, in a medium to large company with a mandate to spearhead strategic changes throughout their business.

• Be at least 30 years old (born 1994 at the latest).

• Have a good working knowledge of both written and spoken English

• Have a completed post-secondary education (the equivalent of a bachelor’s degree or greater).

• Be willing to actively participate, provide support, and share their experience and knowledge with other participants.

• Have identified business needs or problems that could be worked on during the programme to help their company improve its contribution to a more sustainable world. 

The Scholarship for Global Professionals is a competitive fully-funded scholarship that includes: 

• Full tuition fee coverage. The fee is paid directly by SI to your Swedish university each semester.

• A monthly allowance of SEK 12,000 to cover your living expenses throughout the study period.

• A travel grant of SEK 15,000 (*10,000 for scholars from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine). This is a one-time payment and does not apply for students already living in Sweden.

• Membership in the SI Network for Future Global Professionals (NFGP) – a platform to help you grow professionally and build a network while in Sweden.

• After your scholarship period has ended, you become a member of the SI Alumni Network. As a member, you get a unique opportunity for continued networking and professional development.

Interested and qualified applicants for the Swedish Institute SI Scholarship should apply for the program following the step-by-step process below;

  Apply for an eligible master's programme at one of the Swedish Universities (October 16, 2026 - January 15, 2027).

  Apply for a Global Professionals scholarship from February 8 - 24, 2027. To apply for the SI Scholarship, you must submit the documents listed below;

  Photocopy of your valid passport/National ID card

  Proof of work and leadership experience

  After the application deadline, SI will carry out a screening of all applications and disqualify those that do not meet the eligibility criteria for the SI Scholarship.

  On the day you receive your notification of selection results from University Admissions, SI will receive the admission results, including your personal information, directly from University Admissions.

  After the admissions results are announced by University Admissions on April 1, 2027, SI will start a final evaluation of the applications that are still eligible for the scholarship.
